Five Elements Imagery: The hare represents the Mao (Wood) branch, embodying agility and vitality. Perched serenely atop the water ripples, it evokes the image of gazing at the moon from within the water, subtly echoing the Eastern philosophy of “still water runs deep.” It expresses the state of maintaining inner clarity and vitality amid the noise of the world.

These two works draw inspiration from the Five Elements (Wu Xing) of traditional Chinese philosophy, using 3D printing technology to transform traditional zodiac symbols and natural imagery into a contemporary sculptural language. The stillness of the rabbit and the dynamism of the tiger, the softness of water and the firmness of wood, engage in dialogue through the sheen and color of the materials—both a modern translation of Eastern philosophy and a dual metaphor for the states of life.

Material & Technique: 3D modeling and printing. The surface is specially treated to achieve a pearlescent white satin finish, while the base is crafted from deep lake-blue translucent resin, mimicking the form of rippling water.
