Atelier Kate started as an organic, fair-trade fashion company & evolved into circular fashion, partnering with local artisans to minimize waste & water use. We transform discarded materials into timeless designs & source raw materials locally to cut co2 emissions. We honor artisans with fair pay, recycle fabric in Paris, offset shipping emissions, use eco-friendly packaging, & donate proceeds to charity. With Osé, we curate sustainable brands.
We partner with artisans in Paris and Morocco, ensuring they receive fair pay without middlemen taking a cut. Most are women, as they face the greatest financial disparities. We continually learn traditional and modern techniques to refine our processes, minimize environmental impact, and maximize positive change. We research, listen to artisans, and assess practices to improve. Transparency is key we share our methods, introduce you to artisans, and support brands that uplift their communities.
We believe the conversation around sustainability is just beginning, & it's crucial for people to understand its importance. Everything in our world is interconnected, & one industry can affect many others. We share the changes we're making & highlight others' efforts, explaining the reasons behind those decisions. Our goal is to inform in a fun, engaging way. We also support more artisans, helping grow their businesses and families. We expand product categories, promoting ethical consumption & business.
We acknowledge our global shipping impact, fabric use, & the realities of pattern making, textiles, & e-commerce. We offset carbon emissions from shipping by donating $0.15 of each shipment to climate change research, but we know this isn’t enough. We recycle all fabric scraps in France & no longer use animal leather, choosing a biodegradable, low-water alternative. We’re committed to continually improving our practices. While we don’t have all the answers, we’re dedicated to learning & creating positivity.
