Aunt Kiki Says: Plant It, Don’t Poke It and Watch It Bloom!

What a week it’s been, the veil is thin and the spirits came out to play over the weekend. Did you dress up? Celebrate with your loved ones past and present? Let’s see what the cards have to say this week, what you do with it is up to you!

The Earth is in charge in November and there is money everywhere! Always a solid start to the month. Earth is all about tangible and grounded things, money being one of them but also this is a month to honor your home, craft, work and what you are building. Be kind to your body and feed it well during this month as it is carrying you through the season and this new up-leveling. We are including 3 Major Arcana cards which means there are a few lessons coming but nothing that will knock you on your ass for a change. This isn’t a month for flash so don’t be tempted by the Black Friday sales. This is a month of foundation upon which you will build your castle. 

The 6 of Wands says you have already planted the seeds and a flower has bloomed that you have been too busy to celebrate. It is time to celebrate that win fully. Take credit and stand in your strength. Strength in reverse is saying that your confidence is running low making it even more important to celebrate your wins to remind yourself of the progress you’ve made.

You haven’t lost your strength but your reserves are running low. Yes, you are tired, doubtful and drained but you are also victorious, capable and an all around badass. It’s important here to stop measuring yourself against your worst days and to take a step back to celebrate. 

The Ace of Pentacles is the opportunity you have been waiting for. It’s an offer, idea or door that opens up to something solid. It’s a new beginning, a rebirth that is taking a form or shape that may look vaguely familiar but in an uncomfortable new, yet exciting way. It sits with the 7 of Pentacles that reminds us, seeds take time to grow and flourish. They also need to be left alone and not over-watered so they can grow. Don’t go messing with them every five minutes to check on whether or not they’re growing. You’ve planted them and they know what to do so step back and watch them grow. 

The Knight of Pentacles backs this up. It’s all about slow and steady, unglamorous work that gets the job done. It’s all about the progress this month. Show up, do the work and let the rest of the world rush around you like chickens with their heads cut off. Focus on your grass and the opportunities presented to you. 

Which is exactly what the Page of Pentacles reversed is signaling. There is a scattered focus and big plans that you haven’t taken action on yet. This month is the moment to do so. Plant the seeds, till the soil, water it (but not obsessively) and watch it grow. 

Equally the Page of Cups reversed is noting a creative or emotional energy block. You’ve been ignoring a tender, playful part of yourself darlings and it’s time to let that inner child have some fun. Yes, it’s important during this time to do the work but it’s equally important to make time for play, creativity and emotional expression in whatever form that takes for you. You must give yourself permission to play, this is how the opportunities will flow into your world. It’s time to get out of your own way and just be your trusted most ridiculously free self. 

The Hermit reversed implies that we have been withdrawing, hiding away for a while, things have got us in our head but now is the time to be out among the people again. Melissa, you need to be outside, maybe not drunk (unless you want to be), but outside! Building connection and real community is the key to this month. Planting those seeds in the Autumn and Winter months will allow fruit to bear in the Spring. 

The 6 and 8 of Swords prove that in doing so you will move into calmer waters. Allowing your inner child to play and continuing slow and steady progress will give you the ability to leave behind heavy and unnecessary burdens from the past and move into a gentler and more peaceful time. The 8 of Swords specifically speaks to the blindfold coming off. That cage you felt trapped in, it’s been loosely tied this whole time and you are beginning to see it. That’s why this transition is smooth and gentle. No Tower moments here my love!

Now let’s talk about the High Priestess, in the center of it all, watching, guiding and spreading her love and powerful energy across the entire month. With the veil thinning between the worlds and our ancestors closer than ever the High Priestess is here to remind you to trust your gut. You know more than you’re admitting to yourself. It’s time to call in the ancestors, your higher powers and any angels around you to help guide you along the path that is being clearly set out in front of you. 

The month closes with the 9 of Pentacles. This is all about independence, comfort, enjoyment and luxuriating in what you’ve built with your own two hands. You are out of survival mode and you’re allowed to savor it. The next move from here is to thrive in every way imaginable and some you haven’t even imagined yet. 

Claim that early win, plant the seeds you know need to be planted and be patient, that is the key. You are seeing clearly, both literally and figuratively. The answers have always been within and it’s important now to give yourself the space to play, trust and let yourself thrive.
